PROJECT INFORMATION / PRIVACY

Privacy policy

Clear boundaries for a personal archive.

Effective October 28, 2026 · Operator: Sean Trowbridge

IP Cam Archiver is a personal, owner-operated application. Capture is active; YouTube authorization and uploading are being configured. This policy covers the public information site and the intended authorized YouTube features.

What the application does

The application records configured camera streams and is being extended to assemble recordings and upload selected videos, titles, descriptions, tags, and publication settings to the owner's YouTube channel using YouTube API Services. The operator is responsible for permission to record and republish each source.

Google and YouTube information

When enabled and authorized, the YouTube integration uses OAuth access and refresh tokens to perform the functions the owner approves. Information processed may include the selected channel's identifier, upload files and metadata, video identifiers, upload status, and playlist identifiers if playlist organization is enabled. The application does not ask for or store the owner's Google password.

Google user data is used only to provide the application's authorized upload and archive-management functions. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train artificial intelligence models.

Storage and sharing

Recordings and operational files are stored on the operator's self-managed infrastructure. OAuth credentials and tokens are stored in access-restricted files outside the public website directory. Authorized videos and associated metadata are sent to Google and YouTube; their availability depends on the publication settings selected by the owner.

The public site uses Cloudflare for DNS and, when proxying is enabled, traffic delivery and protection. Cloudflare and the hosting server may process technical request information such as IP addresses, requested paths, timestamps, and browser headers. The site does not add advertising, analytics scripts, account registration, or tracking cookies. Follow the Cloudflare privacy policy for its processing practices.

Retention and deletion

The operator controls retention of original camera recordings and locally generated archive files. Credentials are retained only while the integration is authorized and needed. When YouTube API functionality is enabled, stored API-derived information must be refreshed or deleted within 30 days unless a shorter applicable requirement applies.

To request deletion of locally stored Google user data or authorization tokens, contact [email protected]. Requests will be handled within seven days. Removing local files does not delete videos already uploaded to YouTube; the owner can manage those videos separately in YouTube Studio.

Your authorization choices

You can revoke the application's Google access at Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized API access; the operator must also remove associated locally stored authorization tokens and Google user data. You may contact the operator to request that removal.

Other privacy policies

Google and YouTube process information under the Google Privacy Policy. This application uses YouTube API Services and is subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. Google API information is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
