Terms of service

Purpose and access

IP Cam Archiver is a personal application operated by Sean Trowbridge to record configured camera sources, organize footage, and develop an authorized YouTube publishing workflow. This website provides application information and policies. The application is not offered as a public hosted upload or recording service.

Agreement and applicable policies

By using the application's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Use is also governed by this application's privacy policy, which must be accepted before authorizing its YouTube features, and applicable Google and YouTube API policies.

Content rights and permitted use

Use the application only with sources and content you are entitled to access, record, and upload. A stream being publicly viewable does not itself grant redistribution rights. Respect copyright, privacy, source-provider terms, and applicable law. Do not use the application to bypass access restrictions, impersonate another person, or upload unlawful content.

Channel authorization and publication

Only the owner or an authorized channel manager may connect a YouTube channel. Authorization must be given through Google. The owner is responsible for selecting the content, channel, metadata, and visibility of uploads and can revoke access through Google Account settings. Capture alone does not publish a video.

Availability and archive limitations

The application is under active development. Sources can disconnect, change addresses, restrict access, or stop broadcasting. Recordings can have gaps, overlaps, or incomplete segments. Availability, uninterrupted capture, completeness, and acceptance of uploads by YouTube are not guaranteed. Keep independent copies of material you need to retain.

Third-party services

Camera providers, Google, YouTube, and Cloudflare operate their own services under their own policies. IP Cam Archiver is an independent personal project and is not endorsed by or affiliated with those providers.

Features and these terms may change as the project develops. This page will show the effective date of updated terms. Questions, rights concerns, and requests to stop recording or using a source should be sent to [email protected].
